Founder/Director, Milly Bannister, travelled to her home land, Australia, to launch and spread the mission of GRLKND.
We had some very special women attend the launch event at the incredible MissBliss Wholefoods Kitchen. Milly would often head to Miss Bliss after university with bestie Lily and eat lunch and brunch in the sanctuary, so I guess you could say it was somewhat a full-circle moment! In the past 3 years, since opening, Miss Bliss has stayed true to their philosophy and goals by donating 20c from every coffee to PARADISE 4 KIDS which supports children in third world countries. In this short time Miss Bliss has donated over $36,000 which has helped feed, clothe, educate and house thousands of children!
Just like our previous launch event in NYC, it was raining, but as we say, showers bring flowers, symbolising the start of something new and beautiful! The girls gathered in the private dining area amongst candles, fairy lights, watermelon mocktails and the most delicious, healthy food and sweet treats.
As the second of many female-empowerment events to come, the GRLKND Australian launch has set a benchmark for what it means to encourage and induce the self-love and kindness we deserve as women. Experiences like this hearten the removal of self-limiting behaviour and perception as we realise we are not alone, we are not so different after all. We are GRLKND, and we all want to be part of something great.
